And a question in response to your post, because nothing is original anymore... does that mean that's a bad thing? :O
Because if you think about it, you can argue two cases. One being that yes - it's a bad thing. You can say that in today's society, there's a loss of individualism. Almost everyone is a biter, now! Nothing is original anymore because all the good ideas were taken. Nobody can think of new shit. Or if they do, it's freakin' retarded. Like the SNUGGIE or the ShamWOW! Or how about Hollywood? Transformers, Batman, X-Men, Harry Potter, Twilight. All once original and fresh ideas that are now played out because there's so many damn sequels.
But you can say that it's normal or even a good thing. People can be biters because it's a way they connect. You can say that's our human characteristic. Copy each other because we want to be the same. We want to have things in common. Otherwise, how do you have sympathy? Where you agree and share a common feeling with another person. How do you have culture? The once original ideas, although getting overplayed, are being cultivated. Eventually, all these beliefs and ideas start to develop around it.
